甘肃省气象局最新一次的风能评估结果表明，甘肃省风能资源总储量为２．３７亿千瓦，占全国总储量的７．３％，技术可开发量２７００万千瓦，占全国的１０．６％。

Right now, Gansu has already proposed a tentative plan for building at Jiuquan the foundations for a 10,000,000 level wind power plant, and moreover an organization has finished the “Leading Principles for work on Gansu Province Wind Power Evaluation” and the “leading principles for Gansu Province’s proposed wind energy sites”.
